BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
The Political Reform Act requires state and local government agencies to adopt and promulgate Conflict-of-Interest Codes. Each year, officials and employees whose positions are designated in the District’s Conflict-of-Interest Code must file an Annual Statement of Economic Interest with the District Secretary. The deadline to file, as established by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), was Monday, April 1, 2024.
The District Secretary’s Office reports that out of 177 required annual filings, all but one was received on or before the filing deadline of April 1, 2024. The District Secretary’s Office is working to collect the one remaining outstanding filing.
