Consider authorizing Director Peeples to attend the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) 100th Annual Meeting on January 24-28, 2021 in Washington, D.C.

The TRB 100th Annual Meeting program will cover all transportation modes, addressing topics of interest to policy makers among others, with a number of sessions and workshops focusing on the spotlight theme for the 2021 meeting: Launching a New Century of Mobility and Quality of Life.

BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
Pursuant to Board Policy 155, all out-of-state travel for Directors and Officers to attend a conference or a meeting related to District business and at District expense, shall be approved by action of the Board of Directors prior to incurring expenses. In addition, the policy allows for the pre-payment of conference registration, airfare and hotel costs in an existing fiscal year for travel that occurs or is scheduled to occur in the next fiscal year. This travel authorization has been prepared in accordance with Board Policy 155.
The Transportation Research Board's (TRB) 100th Annual Meeting will be held in Washington, D.C. on January 24-28, 2021.
