CALL TO ORDER

The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District Board of Directors held a special meeting on Friday,

December 6, 2024. President Young called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Director Peeples did not meet the teleconference requirements to participate in the meeting,

but was sworn-in as the new Ward 1 Director.

3.A. Consider receiving the Certificates of Election Results and the Official

Canvas for Ward 1 Director H. E. Christian Peeples, Ward 2 Director

Jean Walsh, and Ward 6 Director Anthony C. Silva.

Board Administrative Officer/District Secretary Linda Nemeroff presented the staff

report. There was no public comment offered.

MOTION: SHAW/SYED to receive the Certificates of Election Results and the Official

Canvas for Ward 1 Director H. E. Christian Peeples, Ward 2 Director Jean Walsh, and

Ward 6 Director Anthony C. Silva. The motion carried by the following vote:

4.A. Administration of the Oath of Office to re-elected and newly elected

members of the AC Transit Board of Directors:

H. E. Christian Peeples, Ward 1

Jean Walsh, Ward 2

Anthony C. Silva, Ward 6

The Oaths of Office were administered by two of the District’s most tenured bus

operators: Wong Poon (Division 6) and Ruthie Mitchell (Division 6) as well as Mechanic

Donald Righter (Division 6).

Newly elected and re-elected Directors thanked their supporters and commented on

the opportunity to serve the public.
