The White House Juneteenth celebration will bring together federal officials and organizational leaders throughout the United States to celebrate Juneteenth. It will also provide a rare opportunity to showcase the important work AC Transit is doing in various areas of transportation to government leaders and decision-makers.
BUDGETARY/FISCAL IMPACT:
President Young's remaining travel budget balance is just under $600 for the remainder of FY 2023-24, which would be used to help defray a portion of the total cost for the trip. Eligible expenses would include airfare, hotel, per diem and ground transportation. The remainder of the expenses would paid out-of-pocket by President Young.

The White House Juneteenth celebration is a significant event, marking a federal holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It offers a unique platform for leaders and organizations to engage with government officials and advocate for their causes.
