The Platinum Advisors 2022 Annual Client Retreat provides attendees the time to meet with agency representatives, government peers, and legislative and government professionals to discuss topics and emerging issues important to the District.
BUDGETARY/FISCAL IMPACT:
Lodging expenses are estimated at $1,000 for up to two nights.
BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
Platinum Advisors has extended an invitation to President Ortiz and Vice President Young to attend their Annual Client Retreat in Sonoma, California on October 12-13, 2022. The retreat will provide panel discussions with top industry insiders, elected officials and Platinum's staff on the economic and political landscape in California.
Pursuant to Board Policy 155, no reimbursement is authorized for overnight accommodations in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, or San Mateo. However, Directors may receive reimbursement for overnight accommodations in the counties of Marin, Napa, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma, if prior Board approval is obtained. As the Platinum Client Retreat is being held in Sonoma County, approval is sought to allow reimbursement of lodging expenses.
In accordance with Policy 155, the Board is asked to authorize lodging expenses for the President and Vice President associated with the Platinum Advisors 2022 Annual Client Retreat.
