Title
Consider adoption of Resolution Nos. 23-047 and 23-048 authorizing the General Manager, or his designee, to file and execute applications and funding agreements with the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) for the 2024 Comprehensive Investment Plan (CIP) for the Fruitvale Corridor Transit Signal Priority (TSP) and High Priority Bus Improvements Projects.

The award of these grant funds for these projects will help the District fund vital capital projects that will improve transit performance and provide for infrastructure enhancements.
BUDGETARY/FISCAL IMPACT:
The District previously applied for approximately $6.3 million for two capital projects through ACTC's CIP that meets Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) One Bay Area Grant (OBAG) funding criteria.
The District has been awarded $3,523,000 in Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF) capital funds from ACTC for these two capital projects. The grant funds will be used in the design and construction phases. The matching funds requirements for this grant will be met by other grant funds in the projects.
BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
The District has secured $2,000,000 in Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds allocated to the MTC by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) under the OBAG funding program for the Fruitvale Corridor TSP project.
