BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
The Political Reform Act requires state and local government agencies to adopt and promulgate Conflict-of-Interest Codes. Each year, officials and employees whose positions are designated in the District’s Conflict-of-Interest Code must file an Annual Statement of Economic Interest with the District Secretary. The deadline to file as established by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) was Thursday, April 1, 2021.
The District Secretary’s Office reports that out of 182 required annual filings for employees, consultants, Board members, and advisory committee members, all but six were received on or before the filing deadline of April 1, 2021. The District Secretary’s Office is working to collect these outstanding filings.

There are no alternatives as this report is provided at the request of the Board of Directors.
PRIOR RELEVANT BOARD ACTION/POLICIES:
On September 21, 1994, the Board of Directors directed the District Secretary to provide annual reports on the status of Statement of Economic Interest Filings (Form 700).
