RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
Title
Consider receiving the monthly construction progress and operational readiness report on the East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.
Body
STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE:
Goal - Convenient and Reliable Service
The fully Implemented BRT project will provide sheltered, lighted and convenient waiting areas; raised platforms for level boarding; dedicated lanes, coordinated signals, and priority for reliable service.
BUDGETARY/FISCAL IMPACT:
Refer to Attachment 1 for the budget status on the construction contract and professional service contracts supporting the BRT Construction and to view the Funding-Expenditure Cost-to-Complete chart.
BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
Refer to Attachment 1 for updates on Construction Progress, Operational Readiness, Public Outreach. Note that slide 5 in the attachment has transitioned from identifying the stations in interim condition to substantial completion progress.
ADVANTAGES/DISADVANTAGES:
This report is a monthly construction and operational readiness update and there are no associated advantages or disadvantages.
